Facebook’s long-awaited new iPad app is now available in Apple’s App Store.
Calling it a “A New Way to Experience Facebook,” the social media giant says customers can expect bigger photos they can flip through, simplified navigation controls that lets them see notifications and bookmarks without switching screens and gameplay from anywhere on a bigger screen.
This highly anticipated app has been delayed a few times and there were heavy Internet rumors Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg might make an appearance at last week’s “Let’s Talk iPhone” event Apple held to introduce iPhone 4S.
The New York Times reported early last summer the app might be released in July. That didn’t happen despite an iPad version being discovered from within the code for the current Facebook iPhone app.
It’s finally here. iPad users can get Facebook for iPad at www.facebook.com/ipad.
