Rumor: Sprint employees told to not discuss iPhone 5 rumors

With iPhone 5 rumors running rampant — a 3.8” screen, a 4” screen — Sprint employees have apparently been told to not discuss the soon-to-be-released Apple handset.

The Sprint blog, SprintFeed, reports that an internal memo has been sent to Sprint employees to not speculate about whether an iPhone is coming to the company, despite reports from the Wall Street Journal and others.

The memo asks employees to say “No comment” when asked and to direct customers to Sprint’s website. Of course, even saying “No comment” would lead me, as a consumer, to believe there’s something there, and I would certainly not be settling into a two-year commitment with any Sprint phone if I were a customer and I had iPhone on the brain.

And rumors are running wild. Sprint’s stock price has jumped since rumors began and analysts are predicted sales of more than a million units
